After a tough long weekend of ALL THE FEELS and too many tears, I decided it was a good time to share the fun and joy of ZB’s 3rd birthday party.
The first of our girls’ birthday celebrations in the year, and the one birthday we managed to squeeze in before social-distancing or lockdown kicked in. It almost seems surreal that just one week after her party, our whole country and world changed in the most crazy way. Looking at these photos, it feels like it was in another lifetime – a life pre-Covid-19, a life that we will never know again.
Today, I am falling down the rabbit hole of this happy, fun, brightly-coloured party filled with all of ZB’s favourite people, favourite things and favourite treats.
When asking ZB what theme she would like for her birthday party, she didn’t hesitate and answered with such confidence “Dinosaurs“. Cue the ‘girl mom’ panic. But then I got my thinking cap on, I logged into Pinterest and together with her sisters, ZB and I chose all our favourite ideas and images.
And her “girl dinosaur party” (that’s all she called it for months!) in pastel colours was born…
