New Year 2018

05 January 2018| ,

As we get older and we have babies and toddlers, I have found that New Years has become less of a big event for our friends – although I love an intimate little party to ring in the new year.

This year saw many our friends being away on holiday and a good few with no babysitters but we invited anyone who was free to join us for a casual evening on fun, gin cocktails and a countdown. We added a bit of fun with a dress theme too – any couple dress up.

We went from 32 guests to 12 guests in a matter of days (so many cancellations!) but what a fun evening! We dressed up, we laughed, we danced, we won “trophies”, we ate a delicious Greek feast, some ended up in the pool and we only climbed into bed at 3.30am! I absolute loved the dress up too – we went as Andre Agassi and Stefi Graf in tennis gear and we had Forest Gump and Jenny, Anthony and Cleopatra, Mis-Behaviour, Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, and a Captain and Sailor.

Great way to ring in 2018!
