This December was one of our quietest holiday breaks that we have had in a while… We usually spend lots of time with family and friends, rushing from function to social gathering and packing bags to travel around the country or world.

But after a rough year of illness, we played it safe by spending time at home and relaxing in our own town. However, our family have an annual weeks timeshare at a resort in the Drakensberg mountains which we have really enjoyed over the last few years – especially since having children.

Champagne Sports Resort is a three hour drive away, nestled in the mountains and on the most picturesque golf course. We have chalet timeshare but have also stayed in their hotel. The resort offers buffet meals, pool lunches, three swimming pools, tennis courts, bowling greens, horse riding, golf, a spa, a kids club and endless fun activities for the whole family. We were lucky enough this year to have special friends and their families join us for a weeks holiday as well as New Year celebrations.

Nothing like a Summer holiday to make memories to last a lifetime…
