Christmas is our favorite time of year, and the past few years have been made even better since having children – they truly bring the extra sparkle and magic to the festive season. Christmas this year was no exception – we have spent days in anticipation with advent calendars, Christmas decorating and giggles with our Elf on the Shelf.

We spent Christmas Eve at our church/carol service, dinner with special friends, trying to drive around finding Christmas lights, leaving out cookies, carrots and milk for Father Christmas and the reindeer and finally jumping into bed watching Richie Rich as a family of four and in our Christmas pjs.

Christmas morning brought extreme excitement that Santa had been, filled our stockings and left presents under our tree. We had fun opening our lovely gifts, exchanging thoughtful cards and embracing the love and joy in our home. We had a quiet lunch with Granny as our other grandparents are in London with family and we spent a lazy afternoon with full tummies and happy hearts.

Hard to believe that this was our last Christmas as a family of four, and my last Christmas as a pregnant mama.
