Month 9: (a few weeks late)
Weight: 10,1kgs
Height: 71cm
Clothing size: We are in 9-12 months and some 12-18 months – little chunk of love!
Diaper size: Size 4+
Feeding: Cereal, yoghurt and fruit with a bottle at 7am, biscuit and a bottle at 10am, vegetables (butternut, carrot, potato, sweet potato, green beans, marrow and broccoli) and fruit at 12.30pm, toast and Bovril and a bottle at 3pm and vegetables and protein (chicken, beef or lamb) and a bottle at 5.30pm for dinner. And she doesn’t leave anything behind! She has also started enjoying some finger foods – celery, cucumber and carrot sticks, biltong and crackers and cheese.
Sleep: Yay for better sleep – ZB is now sleeping through until 5.30-6am and her day sleeps vary from 1-2 hours twice a day.
Milestones: She started crawling! And it is so cute watching her waddle her way around… She has also started pulling herself up on to things to stand. She has started being very vocal – screeching and calling around the house! And she can say a few sounds: mama, dada, baba, nana.
Loves: Everything – such a happy babe! She loves dada, mama, her sisters, Gogo, visitors, music, singing, water in the bath and pool, toys being outside, watching people and FOOD!
Dislikes: Having food or toys taken away from her, or being left alone when it isn’t sleep time. She LOVES attention!
Adventures: Unfortunately a lot of trips to the doctor this month – poor little ZB has been diagnosed with the same immune deficiency that her bog sister EN had. So we have had three sets of antibiotics, ear infections, croup, tonsillitis and endless blood tests to help our poor little sausage. At least we have answers, and a way forward now…
Mommy & Daddy could not live without: Soothers – namely the dummy and taglet. Little ZB absolutely loves both and they soothe her instantly. She cuddles in the taglet and sucks away when she is tired or miserable.
