Month 5: 

Weight: 8kgs

Height: 63cm

Clothing size: We are now in 6-9 and even some 6-12 months!!

Diaper size: Size 3 and now heading into a 4.

Feeding: 180ml-210ml bottles at 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm and 6pm. We introduced rice cereal this month and then maize cereal – she enjoys a bowl for breakfast and a bowl for dinner. We are starting vegetables this next month.

Sleep: Haha, still a sensitive issue but much better than last month. She now wakes around 1-2am for a dummy and then between 3-4am for a bottle. (The last few nights have been 4am for a dummy and 5am for a bottle – almost there!)

Milestones: She plays constantly with rattles and toys, she reaches out for things to put into her hands, she puts absolutely everything into her mouth. She has started responding to other people, she smiles and giggles at herself in the mirror and she is sitting with support.

Loves: Food – this girl loves to eat! And Mommy & Daddy – she smiles and giggles as soon as she can see us. She also loves her little rattle to play with and chew on.

Dislikes: Baths in the big bath with her sisters, too much stimulation or other babies in her personal space.

Adventures: We started our Baby Bright Stars class last week and ZB took a while to get into it – she didn’t like the other babies lying close to her or when the moms started singing to their babies. We also had a Moms & Babes tea with her little friends.

Mommy & Daddy could not live without: Our three girls. Their sisterly bond is truly remarkable – we love the way ZB responds to her big sisters voices and seeing them, and the older two are just besotted with their baby sister. It really is something special and we are so blessed with these three angels. I cannot wait for them to grow up together and be best friends.
