Book Review: The Identicals

Title: The Identicals

Author: Elin Hilderbrand

Genre: Fiction

Main Characters:

  • Harper – single woman courier living on Martha’s Vineyard
  • Tabitha – single mom living on Nantucket

Summary:

Nantucket is only two and a half hours away from Martha’s Vineyard by ferry. But the two islands might as well be worlds apart for a set of identical twins sisters who have been at odds for years. When a family crisis forces them to band together – or at least appear to – the twins slowly come to realise that the special bond that they share is more important than the sibling rivalry that’s drive them apart for the better part of their lives.

Verdict:

Again, I can’t get away from the American island life. Although I am definitely Team Nantucket in this novel. This story was a little different to Elin’s usual narrative but I liked it. It wasn’t one that I couldn’t put down but I enjoyed the detailed stories of each of the twins lives, why they acted like they had based on past experiences and how life is just never as it seems – we truly can never judge, especially not knowing what anyone is going through…

Have you read it? What did you think?
