Mothers Day 2021

10 May 2021| ,

Last year, Mothers Day was spent in a hard lockdown which was very special to spend the quality time with my girls – unfortunately due to an emotional time in our lives, I spent most of the day in my room, reading and sleeping and just catching up on alone time.

This Mothers Day was extra special as I was able to celebrate the three mornings with my girls at their school – one of the first times we have been allowed on the school campus since early 2020. I got to spend an hour with each of our girls:

I got to enjoy a special assembly with fun mom and daughter quiz, an outdoor picnic with SJ and her sweet friends, and she asked me some fun questions that she had already answered about me.

EN and I played the fun M&M game of asking each other sweet questions, she showed me her beautiful portrait of me and fun together in their new playground and jungle gym.

ZB and I got to spend the morning in our matching pjs, eating tea and rusks, looking at all her beautiful art and then a mom and daughter yoga lesson. So many special memories.

Our actual Mothers Day Sunday was spent with breakfast and spoils in bed with my three girls, and MC playing out of his boots to spoil me with stunning flowers and treat boxes from the talented Nicky at Buttons & Blooms – each box had the most beautiful flowers, and a few of my favourite things.

We spent the day chilling at home and then a chicken pie lunch with our two grannies. Our special table decorated with our favourite floral prints from Macaroon and sweet spoils for our grannies from Elizabeths Florist and Monz Macaroons too.

A very special day together.
