How and why you started Creativ & Kin? The Creativ & kin community was founded in May 2019, and the dream was to connect local solo-preneurs and creative women through meetups and workshops. In December 2019 we launched a brand new Podcast and 2020 brought us to the dream of launching a website and online store (launching in Sept!), with year planners and products aimed at further inspiring and motivating female entrepreneurs, creative souls and all-round girl bosses. The recurring themes that draw all of us together, is basically rooted in the fact that we were made for community. We are stronger together in terms of collective knowledge, shared experiences, energy and encouragement. My hope is that by setting and continuing the trend of women collaborating and supporting each other rather than continuously competing, we can raise a generation of young women who will be naturally inclined to it. The planner, podcast and all the content produced by creativ & kin aims to inspire, motivate and uplift ambitious BUT kind women. May this community be a source of inspiration on your journey of making your creative and entrepreneurial dreams a reality!

I am in awe of a woman that can be ALL THE THINGS, and all for the greater good. Barbara is someone I look up to as a mum whois juggling the career of being a medical doctor and serving our community but also empowering so many amazing, creative women in our country with creativ & kin and her podcast. There isn’t a guest or conversation you won’t enjoy – and her latest collaboration with our favourite watercolour queen, Jess from
Watercolour Heart is so exciting!
