This past Saturday, I was honoured to be a bridesmaid and witness my longest/oldest friend marry the man of her dreams – after twelve years of dating! Melissa and I met in Grade 8 as nerdy little girls in our first year of high school, we clicked instantly and have been friends ever since. Our friendship has never experienced conflict and we have maintained best friends even with living apart.

I have witnessed Melissa and Jono start dating in high school, through university, across the country, living in the same province, travelling together, moving in together, getting engaged and lastly, saying their “I do’s”. They are the nicest people, the sweetest couple and a match made in heaven and I was blessed to be a part of their special day.

We were treated to a pamper morning at the spa on Friday followed by a delicious rehearsal dinner and then wedding prep and celebrations on Saturday.
