A new year. A new start.
We all know how my A-type, OCD, perfectionist self can be at the start of a new year – all things new and fresh and ready to begin… And one of my greatest resolutions for 2024 is to be actively blogging again. Blogging about life, motherhood, faith, marriage, travel and fun. I have always loved sharing words, memories and life with people and since I found blogs and started blogging all those years ago (almost 14 years ago!), I have never stopped reading my favourite blogs – not the new age, Insta worthy, content creation – just your old school, online websites filled with words, memories, tips and tricks and fun things to share.
And so, in 2024, I am back. And I thought the best way to make my comeback is with a good old HELLO and introduction post…
My name is Caley, I am a late-thirty-something year old living in coastal Durban, South Africa. I am married to my university sweetheart, MC and we have five children (yes, FIVE!) We have three daughters: SJ who will be 12 this year, EN who will be 10 and ZB who will be 7 and our latest additions to complete our family puzzle: our twin boys, FM and RM who will be 2 this year. A full, loud, busy house – but all our family dreams come true!
We live a happy, simple life on the coast of Durbs, enjoying everything our small town has to offer. We have our small, immediate family close by, a group of incredible friends who are like family and great schools. We are blessed to live in our forever home which we built a decade ago, I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mom to our mini brood and MC runs his own business from his local office.
We love family time, spending time together making memories, being on the beach and in the pool, on the sidelines of our girls sports matches and dance concerts, quality time with precious friends, exploring the world together, being on a game drive in the bush, celebrating the joys of life with parties, photographs and fun!
