Easter weekend arrived this year and looked a little different to last year – the joy and blessing of being able to spend the weekend with our special family and friends is something we will never take for granted again – after spending last Easter in lockdown.
On Saturday, we spent the day with special family friends – chilled braai, garden cricket with dads and their daughters and early evening pajama parties and exchanging eggs with our besties.
We woke up on a Sunday morning to shrieks of excitement that the Easter bunny had been and the girls raced downstairs to find their Easter baskets, Easter treats and a fun Easter egg hunt through the garden. And all the chocolate for breakfast…
On Sunday morning, we spent the morning with our incredible pastors watching our Linc church Easter service online. Unfortunately we are not still back at church in person, but how amazing to spend the morning worshipping and praying with some of beautiful church family.
We had the grandparents over for a very small and relaxed Easter lunch – our cute bunny table made colourful and fun with our Macaroon goodies – placemats, gift tags and bright ribbon. We had a lovely braai and endless chocolate eggs. The girls hopped into the bath with their bunny bath bombs, put on their new bunny Easter pyjamas and we got to enjoy our Easter ‘paint your own cookies’ from Artful Biscuit and play our Easter bingo and crosswords from The Arty Party.
With the happiest hearts and fullest tummies, we all climbed into bed, cuddled together and watched our favourite Easter movie: Hop.
Happy Easter everyone x
