Another magical holiday in one of our favourite places, Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensberg mountains. Every year, we road trip to the mountains with our family and family friends – this year we were blessed in abundance with so many other family friends joining us, and to all be together over New Years.

We spent glorious days in the sun by the pool, evening cocktails watching the sunset rays over the mountains, raining days at the bakery and playing board games, delicious braai dinners and endless fun for kids and adults.

The New Years Eve party was one of a kind – the resort always go all out on New Years Eve. They have a theme (this year was African safari), they have an incredible DJ with a full nite club feel, delicious buffet dinner and MASSIVE party! We started off with sunset drinks at our chalet, local South African flavours for dinner and then we danced the night away – not thinking we would make it too far past midnight – we ended our night, fully clothed, in the freezing cold swimming pool at 4am!

Holidays like these may last a week but the memories will last forever.

We cannot wait to be back.
