Title: The Perfect Couple

Author: Elin Hilderbrand

Genre: Mystery

Main Characters:

  • Celeste & Benji – Bride & Groom
  • Merritt Monaco – Maid of Honour
  • Shooter Uxley – Best Man
  • Greer Winbury – Host & Mother of the Groom

Summary:

It’s wedding season in Nantucket. The beautiful island is over run with summer people – an annual source of aggravation for year-round residents. And that’s not the only tension brewing off-shore. When one lavish wedding ends in disaster before it can even begin everyone in the wedding party is suddenly a suspect. As Chief of Police Ed Kapenash into the best man, the maid of honor, the groom’s famous mystery novelist mother, and even a member of his own family, the chief discovers that every wedding is a minefield – and no couple is perfect.

Verdict:

Erin really is the “Queen of the Summer read” and I loved this book – a quick and easy beach holiday read that had me dreaming of Summer holidays on Nantucket. I had to giggle at all the drama that this family wedding stirs up – so true to most weddings or big family events. Throw in illness, estrangement, keeping up appearances, money and status, illness, infidelity and then a murder… It’s a must-read.

Have you read it? What did you think?
