2018 Goals with Powersheets

17 January 2018|

Goals – I love that word.

The fresh start of a new year leaves me feeling all fuzzy in side. I love a clean slate, a fresh start and a great way to get stuck in and be intentional.

Last year, MC and I were inspired by a couple that I look up to – as a couple, as parents, as followers of Jesus and as business entrepreneurs The Cochranes. They had the genius idea of getting away for a few days to connect, plan their year, set their goals, chat through budgets and finances, plan trips for the year and schedule their calendars. For MC and I, this made so much sense – great way to start the year on the same page and an excuse to get away together. So I booked it then…

In the first week of this year, we headed to Cape Town for a great three nights off – just the two of us. Armed with our Simplified Planners and Powersheets – we planned our lives and our year. Our Powersheets are the most amazing tool for really digging deep into what has worked in the past year, what you need to let go of, what your interests and intentions are and how to make the most of the goals you have planned. We worked through the Couples handbook, the Parenting handbook and the Fruitful Friendships handbook to highlight those specific areas before setting our individual goals too. I am so excited for what 2018 has in store for us.

Each month, I will be sharing my monthly goals with you but a little differently to how I have done so before. But first, my annual goals for 2018:

  1. Making quality time with MC a priority
  2. Being a present and intentional Mum
  3. Deepen my faithful heart with Jesus
  4. Find a balance with clean and healthy eating
  5. Be active!
  6. Simplify our social calendar, and learn to say No
  7. Cultivate meaningful and enriching friendships
  8. Make big business decisions and prioritise

Each month, these 8 goals will be broken down into monthly goals, weekly goals and daily goals to ultimately achieve them all throughout the year.

Have you set goals for 2018? I would love for you to share them with me in the comments or leave a link to your goals.

Be back tomorrow for my January goals.
