Week Two – Pan Fried Fish with Lemon Sauce
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cream
  • juice and zest from 2 lemons
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 fish fillets (fresh hake)
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp seasoning spice (fish spice)

Method:
  • To make the sauce, combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and allow to simmer for 10 minutes until reduced slightly.

  • For the fish, combine the flour, salt and seasoning spice and coat the fish fillets thoroughly.
Coat the fish

  • Fry the fish in a hot pan (in a little vegetable oil, skin down first) until golden brown and then carefully flip over and fry for another 4-5 minutes until the fish is cooked and through and golden brown.

  • Serve with the sauce, and sides of your choice.

The final verdict on this meal:
I’m not a huge fan but this was tasty, the sauce really made it!
Hubs loves fish and he loved this dish too.
