Party Food
I decided that as it was the first, first birthday party I have hosted, I would try and make all the food and baked goodies myself (with the help of trusted Gogo and the exception of the macaroons and balloon biscuits). And I am so glad and so proud of myself that I did! We spent a full day in the kitchen preparing and cooking and baking – but it was so worth it!
I made a range of savoury and sweet items for both adults and kiddies.
Adults: cheese and biscuits, crudite vegetables and dip, assorted sandwiches, cheese muffins, fruit skewers, cheesecake, chocolate crunchies, macaroons and cupcakes.
Kiddies: fruit and vegetable platter, biscuits, marshmallows, jelly babies, cupcakes, ice lollies, jelly, chips.
And one big, colourful, rainbow birthday cake.
