Something someone
told you about yourself that you’ll never forget (good or bad)…

I won’t lie, this challenge has been a real challenge.
I have had to dig deeper, think back and do some serious soul searching to find some answers, memories and anecdotes about myself, my feelings and my life.

Don’t get me wrong, it has been an incredible experience, so much so that I asked Jenni to please have another month long challenge!

But today, I am stuck. I am really stuck.
There isn’t one thing that has stood out – good or bad.
But rather, I can tell you that there is one person who when he says something. I take it all in. I listen (even though he thinks I am not!)
What he says, matters.

My beloved husband, MC is this man.
And over the years, he has said the following – the good, the bad and the ugly…

I would love to spend more time with you.
I really like you.
I love the way you kiss.
I love you.
I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
You can do it.
I have faith in you.
I am so proud of you.
I will always be here for you.
Being with you is my happy and safe place.
Touching you and cuddling you is the best.
Your smiles makes all my worries disappear.
What you say, matters. And nobody else.

He has also said the following:
I think you need to stop behaving like that.
I don’t agree with you.
Why are you speaking to me like that?
I don’t deserve to be spoken to or treated that way.
I think you should apologise.
You were wrong.
You can do better.
Why did you do that?
You are being silly, unfair or unreasonable.
I think you need to take a step back.

This man knows how to put me in my place in the most diplomatic way, he knows how to build me up when I am weak or struggling and he knows how to love and adore me unconditionally.
Everything he says, I will never forget.
