Last weekend, we celebrated our littlest love, ZB with a “Sweet as a Peach” party.
It was a small and intimate party with all things peach and treats, sweet little party games and a fun slip and slide. During the holidays, the girls started to think about their parties and their party themes and little ZB had no special requests – just a slip and slide. So I looked through Pinterest for small and simple party ideas and cute but fuss-free themes. And the two that I had to decide between were fruits: lemons or peaches. But our little cherub definitely fit the theme: Sweet as a Peach.
It doesn’t hurt that it’s a favourite colour around here so we had fun with the theme and the colours. We ran the peach theme through the balloons, pinata and sweet treats: the cake, cupcakes, biscuits, macaroons and little peach sweets. We kept the party fun easy too with musical statues, pass the parcel, pinata and then a slip and slide in the Summer sun. And the sweetest little peach sweets and peach bath bomb party favours.
The party was small and intimate with just a handful of little friends, some drop and go parents and no siblings. We packed little party bags for everyone to enjoy their own treats to eat and fun sparklers on the cake instead of blowing out candles.
There is nothing more heartwarming than our little peach grinning from ear to ear all day, and falling into bed that night saying: “Thank you mommy for the BEST DAY EVER!”
