“Tis the most wonderful time of the year…”
Anyone else agree? We absolutely love Christmas time, and since having our girls, Christmas time truly is even more magical. As a family, we also love the traditions that the Christmas holidays bring and these are a few of our family Christmas traditions.
Buying a real Christmas tree and decorating the tree and house over the first weekend in December
Chocolate and fun advent calendars from the 1st December
Our Elf on the Shelf, Pinocchio arrives on the 1st December and gets up to naughty tricks every night
Watching our local Christmas pantomime – this year was Alice in Wonderland
Driving through our neighbourhoods and seeing the Christmas lights
Photos with Santa at our local shopping mall
Christmas Carols evening at church
Baking a Christmas gingerbread house or cookies
Christmas Eve boxes filled with Christmas pjs, Christmas goodies, Christmas story and goodies
Watching a Christmas movie together on Christmas Eve as a family of five
Christmas morning church service
Christmas lunch at our home with the grandparents
One of our favourite traditions is to sit the girls down and write letters to Father Christmas, and write out their Christmas gift wish list. This is always fun ad magical as they post their letters to the North Pole in the hope that they have been good this year, and that Santa will ring their wishful requests.
It’s also a great way for us to find out what they would love for Christmas!
This year, myself and Leandrie from Poppit & Finch teamed up with Kerryn from The Arty Party who designed this cute little Letter to Santa printable.
