Home safe and sound from our annual December holiday trip to Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensberg mountains. This year, we went a little earlier than usual to kick start our December break for the craziness of Christmas and New Year.

We were blessed to spend this quality time with two very special families and friends – and I’m not sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults! This week in the mountains is a real rest and relaxing holiday – the kids can run free on the lawns and the safety between chalets, we get to chill out without watching the clock, spend hours by the pool and late nights catching up. We also have the pleasure of the incredible Kids club for our kids with amazing childminders and fun activities throughout the day. The guys play golf, the girls visit the spa and we indulge at the delicious hotel buffet.

This year, the special Wallis family joined us (they swapped out their Drakensberg timeshare from a different resort), and the girls were so excited to have their besties with them. We also got to celebrate Madi Moo’s birthday in the mountains – such a treat jumping on her bed to wish, cake all day and a week of celebrations for our special Moozie. Such a special time together!

But best part of it all, is we come back with full hearts and a lifetime of memories. I love that these are the childhood holidays and memories our girls will carry with them forever.
