Favourite Book
Gone Girl

I’m sure this may be a favourite for many.
I was hooked, intrigued and just couldn’t put it down. I had to keep going back for me – I love a good thriller and suspense.

This book was written so well and I was torn between my emotions and feelings for both characters – one minute, I felt sorry for her and the next for him. It really is a great lesson on a story having two sides, and things aren’t always as they seem.

We watched the movie last week for date night, and I thought it was brilliant! The actors/actresses were cast perfectly.

What is your favourite book?

  1. I cannot WAIT to read the book… We went to see the movie last week and it was honestly one of the best movies I've seen in years! I knew it was based on the book, but I hadn't read it and didn't know exactly what the story was about, other than she goes missing and they think the husband has something to do with it. That was it. Sox and I were gobsmacked at the twists and turns! Sooooo clever and devious! It's the first time I've ever watched a movie (based on a book) that has made me want to read the book! Oh and Sox was "scared" of me for hours after that movie. Hilarious!

  2. Yes, this was a good book. At first it seemed a bit boring, but I decided to give it 50 pages, and by then I was hooked! The movie was surprisingly good, too! Book adaptations are always disappointing, but Gone Girl was good!

My favorite book… changes with my mood 🙂 But if I had to pick my favorite, I would say that The Time Traveller's Wife comes pretty darn close. Just beautiful, and masterfully written.
