Blogtober14: Best/Worst Vacation

7th Oct 2014

Best/Worst Vacation

Best Vacation

My best vacation was by far our trip to New York and Florida in April 2011. MC and I had decided to spoil ourselves with a trip to the States before we had children and it was the best two weeks ever!

We spent a week in New York seeing all the sights, eating and drinking ourselves into oblivion and shopping up a storm. I was like a child in a candy store – my eyes always wide and my tummy full of butterflies. We watched the Yankees and the Knicks play, we visited The Cake Boss’ bakery, we did a bus tour of the city, we cycled in Central Park, we watched Mary Poppins and Jersey Boys on Broadway, we ate waffles, canolis and so many burgers. It was amazing!

We then spent a week in Disney, Florida where we acted like children for seven days. We ate so much food from waffles, ice creams, burgers, hotdogs and sodas. We visited every park: Universal Studios, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Aquarium/Sea World and Blizzard Beach – we screamed on rides, we wanted to get sick on rides, we giggled on rides, we won prizes on kiddie rides and we stood in endless queues. We met princes and princesses, Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse – it was so much fun!

Worst Vacation
I am very proud to say I don’t have one – all our vacations as kids, with family and with friends have been awesome and lots of fun. I don’t have any vacations that have gone bad for any reason.
And hoping I never do!

Tell me about your vacation experiences?Don’t forget to join in ‘blogging every day in October’ with Taylor and Helene.

Oh wow I am so envious of this holiday! I went to the US a few years ago but didn't do nearly as much travelling around as I would have liked. This is definitely a trip we want to take! (And how awesome that you are going back again now!!!)
