23 September
A “life lately” post. What you’re up to, how you’re feeling, how you’re doing on your goals, etc. Bonus points for great photos!

What an interesting topic for a day like today. Tomorrow is a public holiday in South Africa, a national holiday for National Heritage Day and National Braai (BBQ) Day. This holiday means most people are on holiday today too. We have been lucky enough to join friends down our South Coast at their beach cottage for the long weekend. This is a great place to be for our little family and precious friends.

How am I? I am well. I am happy. I am content. I am so many things right now. But I am positive and that’s a good place to be.

I feel blessed that I have a wonderful husband and a sweet baby girl. They both bring such happiness and joy into my life and I love and feel loved each and every day. I am blessed to have a loving family and precious friends that we have spend quality time with, have fun with and make special lifetime memories with. I am lucky enough not to have to work and get to spend this valuable time with our little girl – enjoying laughs and tears, learning, developing and reaching milestones and pushing boundaries. I live in a beautiful country and that I love and I am proud of. Life is good…

Am I achieving goals? Some of them. Most of them. I follow strict routines, I make lists and I plan and organise. But this gives my life structure and keeps me disciplined. I have learnt patience during this building process and I can barely contain my excitement to move into our new home. I have started running, I am trying. I am hoping to keep it up. I haven’t reached my post pregnancy goal weight. I don’t stick to diets. I spend too much time on social media. I moan and complain sometimes too.

I am not perfect. But I am me.
And today, I love being me.
