Our long weekend in Mozambique

Saturday 27 April – Wednesday 1 May
8 special friends
5 glorious days in Mozambique
A few months ago, a group of us decided we needed to plan a trip away. A group of us – some married and some single off to a beach vacation for a long weekend. Special friends, beautiful beaches, no work, no kiddies and no responsibility.
We booked a beautiful house in Ponta Molongane in Mozambique. A sweet friend of mine’s mom owns the house and rents it out.
The house is situated 15 minutes from Ponta D’oura. It sleeps 10 people (3 double rooms and a room with 4 bunk beds). It has TV, DSTV, airconditioning, a stunning deck and a wonderful housekeeper. It is a steep walk to the beach and private pool, and bar/restaurant.
We had a wonderful weekend filled with lots of R&R (rum and raspberry), peri peri chicken and chips, tanning sessions, 30 seconds, Kings and ‘guess the song/artist’ games.
But most of all we were all so comfortable together – whether disco dancing, downing drinks, tanning on the beach or lazing around in our PJ’s – this proves we are all such good friends.
A weekend of tears and laughter, but most of all many special memories.

  2. I have never been to Moz. And these pictures have got me even more eager to go.
I would love to have a weekend with friends. Feels like that has happened in years since our friends are so spread out all over the world
