SJ – Month 5

24 September 2012|

Month 5:

Weight: 7,44kgs
Height: 64cm
Clothing size: 3-6 months and a few 6-12 month outfits (especially pants!).
Diaper size: Size 3 and 4
Feeding: At 4 months, we introduced rice cereal at 7am (with a bottle), and then 210mls of formula at 10am, 12.30pm, 3pm and 6pm. We are now starting on solids (vegetables).
Sleep: Still a little angel sleeper – sleeping well during the day and through the night!! We are so blessed at how our little princess loves to sleep (definitely just like her mama!)
Milestones: She plays constantly with rattles and toys, she reaches out for things to put in her hands, she puts absolutely everything into her mouth (no more sterilizing!), she has started responding to people other than mom and dad, she smiles at the mirror (at herself and us) and she is sitting with support.
Loves: Baths with daddy in the BIG bath and she even likes having her hair washed now, cuddles and kisses, her play gym and anything she can grab, pull on and put in her mouth. She has also started sleeping with a Baby Sense taglet, and she loves it! She is also a little giggler and nothing gets her going more than mommy’s laugh!
Dislikes: Each day, this little girl gets happier and happier now. There isn’t much she doesn’t like…
Adventures: SJ was out and about a few nights this month – we went for dinner at friends houses and she loved bathing in someone else’s big bath and she went down so well on their beds (before a quick drive home and put into her cot!)
Mommy and Daddy could not get through the month without: Routine. As parents, we instilled a strict routine from the very beginning and little SJ has thrived on this routine. She knows exactly when it is time to eat and sleep. As long as we stick to the routine, we can go anywhere and do anything. We are so blessed that little SJ is happy with the routine but also proud of us for sticking to it from the start.
