Me, Myself and I

20 September 2012|

I’m a few days late with the Me, Myself and I link up with Samara – but rather late than never!!

1) When you’re feeling down, what do you do to pick yourself up?
I cuddle up in my duvet with my husband and little baby girl close by, tea in one hand and a good read in the other… Closely followed by closing my eyes and having a good rest.
2)  If you had to live in a different time period which would you prefer?
I would have to say the 80’s. I’m quite happy living in the present but the 80’s would be a close second. It seemed very similar to now days but with less crime, cheaper prices and less worries…

3)  What is the most creative Halloween costume you’ve ever worn?
We aren’t big on celebrating Halloween in South Africa – which is very sad and I would love to start up new traditions from this year (or maybe next when my little SJ can dress up and enjoy the fun. I would also love to host a Halloween party each year… Watch this space!

4)  Five weird things about you we wouldn’t know without being told?
I am extremely ticklish – to the point where I will kick and scream and bite and cause any bodily harm if you pin me down!
I am a real scaredy-cat – I hate being alone in a house and I freak out at every sound or shadow or the dark.
I am an over-achiever – I strive to be close to perfect and for the best. Always.
I live for lists and routine – my life would be chaos and one big black hole without them.
I have swum with sharks. Real ones. With no cage. And I wasn’t scared. I loved it and would do it again!

5)  What would you tell your 16-year-old self?

I would tell her to enjoy life and live it to the fullest (how cliched!) I would tell her not to waste time on disrespectful and arrogant men, in fact all men. Be their friends but don’t get caught up in a relationship. This is the time to have fun with your friends and party up a storm! I would tell her to watch her eating and to not stop exercising and playing sport – it WILL catch up with you. Well done on being level-headed and for being a ‘good’ girl – you will be proud.
Come along and link up next month?
